How to Volunteer
Once we are open, Wishing Star will offer many ways to volunteer, from helping with our community events, to ushering, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need help now. We have a few volunteer opportunities currently!
Historical Research
If you have a passion for research and history, we are always looking to find more on the history of our space. We are hoping to find newspaper clippings, photos, playbills, or written memories of the theater from any of its past iterations. If you would like to be a part of our historical documentation efforts, please sign up!
Fundraising Committee
We are looking for people who have a passion for the arts and the community to join our Fundraising Committee. The main focus of the Fundraising Committee is creating and executing fundraising campaigns. We are also looking for individuals with grant writing experience who would be interested in aiding our current grant seeking efforts.
Event Planning
Events are a great way for us to connect with people face-to-face and get the word out about our project. If you have a passion for connecting with the Delavan Community, meeting people, or helping plan events, this is the team for you. Our Events Team works on finding local events to set up a booth at, and helps with the creation and planning of our own hosted events.
